Dear Patti - My husband and I have been listening to The Bridge for many years now, but last week hit a place in our heart like never before. My husband and I, too, went to India and were guests of Gospel for Asia in August. Your testimony is so well understood by my husband and myself, it left us longing to go back to see the children of our Lord. We were so blessed by our experience and can truly say we felt closer to God than we ever had before, being in the poorest of areas we had ever seen. The hope in the children’s eyes, their love for God was something we had never before seen. God blessed us with the opportunity of a lifetime. We are forever grateful to see the love our Lord has for all. It was hard to explain to people the joy of this vacation, because it involved nothing but God’s love. They just sometimes don’t understand. This was the truest presence of our Lord we have ever seen, leaving us to come to the thought of heaven being a third world country. At the expense of sounding like a crazy person, we know after seeing what we did. As well as you have seen, we can’t imagine it being anything but. We know you will understand this better than most because you lived it, like us. May God bless you with many more missions to his children around the world. One year ago I invited God into my life and was baptized.  My life before was filled with casual sex and drinking.  I was so lost, but now I am in God's care it feels so amazing. I was told that unless I confess my sins to God that they would come back to me, and He has changed me so much that I can't even begin to understand why I allowed myself to live the life that I did. The Bible always seemed a bit hard for me to understand, the thou's and thee's and thy's, but Pastor Pulley has made it so simple for me to understand the message and the teachings that God wants me to understand and apply to my life. As a matter of fact, I listen frequently at this time, and it's always awesome! Actually, in general, when The Bridge is playing music, I never have to channel surf. There's never a reason!

I heard about your station on a radio ad on WABC some years ago. I decided to download a podcast of Pastor Lloyd's sermon and I've been downloading ever since. A year or so ago, I got a new phone and downloaded an app called 'TuneIn Radio' (I would later find out your station has its own app) which solved my radio signal issue. I listened more often and to various teachers.

I was listening to Pastor Lloyd one day and he asked the question, "If you're not reading the Bible every day, what are you doing that's so important?" I cannot tell you how deeply this question tugged at my soul. I purchased a Bible and started reading every day. I have also since grown to love Christian music, read Christian books, and I went to Bridgefest and had a wonderful time!

Who would have thought that ONE little radio commercial could really make a fundamental change in a person's life? Who would think that a commercial could lead to a sermon, to listening to additional teachers, then to reading the Bible religiously, to reading Christian books, going to Christian gatherings, and to listening to Christian music? It was each and every one of you who helped plant the seed and, from the bottom of my heart, I thank each and every person who makes this wonderful ministry possible.

In my job, we had to repair the I-Beam supports of a building. Before we started the job, I prayed that no one would get hurt, as the building is over 100 years old. When the 5.8 earthquake hit, the building swayed but did not fall, and no one was hurt. There is no doubt in my mind that the hand of God reached down to hold that building so that none of us were hurt. Prayers work!

About 6 years ago I was listening on your station to Dr. Charles Stanley.  I realized that my Catholic upbringing never told me that Jesus died for me, and all I had to do was truly believe that, place my faith in Jesus, repent my sins, and live by the commandments!! I listen to The Bridge every chance that I get. The teachings keep me pointed in the right direction - toward the Lord & Heaven. All the pastors, speakers, and music are very enlightening.  I often quote Bridge teaching's to people when they start talking about too many worldly problems. The more one hears and reads the Word, the less you worry about worldly things going on. Just by flipping through the radio stations one day, I started listening to this program.  So many of my questions were answered and everything seemed to make sense. I find myself wanting to learn more about God and to grow a stronger relationship with him. The reason for my donation is because I truly love all of you. I love to listen to the Word. Around that timeframe, I am listening to Jeff Johnson and it gets me annoyed that when he is about to say the punch line of whatever he is teaching, I MISS IT...it never fails. So I remember hearing Patti Gates on the radio (hi Patty, I love you too) saying if we want to donate for better reception we can do so.  I don't want to ever miss what Jeff Johnson has to say again..lol.  I love you guys, you are on my car radio, 3 home radios (one in each room), on my laptops, desk top, and iPod. If you were on TV, I would have you programmed into my favorites. Pastor Lloyd, I came upon your radio program by accident. While pushing the scan button on my radio in the car, it stopped on your station. As soon as I heard what you were speaking about, thoughts of those TV pastors came to my mind, where they are yelling over some person writhing on the floor, or they are telling you to send in your dollars so that God can bless you. I pushed scan again. You came on again, and I’m embarrassed to say this now, but I pushed scan again.  And yet again it stopped on you. So I listened a while longer this time. Well that was 3 years ago, and I’ve been listening ever since.  I listen every morning on the way to work - to you, and then to Pastor Greg Laurie, and then on the way home to other shows on your station. The way that you and others on this station explain the Bible is simply awesome! It is understandable, and it’s actually interesting. (I’m sorry, but sometimes people can make Bible study very…boring) But everyone on your station makes it real.  They deal with real issues in life now; they bring the Bible to life. I don’t think of the Bible as a history lesson anymore, or something that happened 2000+ years ago.  It’s happening now.  Thank you for giving me back my faith and bringing the Bible to life. I can't explain what a joy it is to listen to your morning sermons, whether I'm in the car driving, home in my kitchen, or at work. I am not that old, but sometimes I sound like a 90-year old woman the way I have to listen to "my sermons".  My kids are so used to it, and my poor son, who is only 7 and is a lot younger than my other two children, has to listen to sermons instead of kiddie songs when he's in the car with his Mom.  But the funny thing is that he actually listens to it with me and responds!  Your station has made me want to learn more about the Word and get excited about it. It's one thing to be a born-again Christian and serve the Lord, but it's a whole other level when you get excited about the Word as well. Thank you for being obedient. I would like to say that there are so many out there who are so defeated under the weight of Satan's lies that we are ever so lonely and, most of the time, we feel no one really understands how defeated we are.  Even though we are saved, we have many chains of bondage that we feel there is no way to live in this world in the way God has proclaimed. But the fact is, Jesus said it is impossible for us to be saved through striving on our own. I feel we are caught up in many things, so weakened that we pretty much give up. But Jesus, our Lord and Savior, will not let us continue forever in this state of mind. God is true to His word, and nothing is impossible in Him if we just continue to allow Him through His word to overcome anything.  I have gone through many valleys of darkness of my own doing, but the Lord never stops helping me through it.  Just believe that God is all you need, continue in His true word, and it will set you free.  Love you, my Lord and Savior Jesus.

A scheduled auto recall service I was told would take an hour  turned into over 3 hours, and irked me. Thanks to keen awareness of my surroundings I was able to hear background music I'm very familar with, the beginning to Chuck Missler's radio show 66-40.... My being angry at the service manager turned into a hand shake and witnessing...He was listening to The Bridge ONLINE. (I rescheduled for next week for more story sharing!) He said without it he has a hard time getting through the day!!

A few years ago I saw a billboard on the side of the road with a 'catchy' phrase - I think it said "Got God? Listen to 89.7 FM" (The Bridge).  I used to listen to another station, but they changed their format to lots more music and less Bible teaching. I love the praise and worship, but I also need the 'main course' which feeds my spirit. Thank you, 89.7FM The Bridge, for answering God's call.  I pray for you daily and thank God for providing the 'daily food' for the soul through your ministry. My friend told me he listens to The Bridge all the time. I thought, maybe I could listen on the Internet. so I tried today and all this great stuff happened! I won a CD...thank you guys so much! I heard about The Bridge on a car bumper sticker - I think God placed it for me to see!  I began to listening to Pastor Greg Laurie at 7.30 a.m. on family radio every morning while driving my daughter to school, and I have gotten addicted to his voice. Soon I was listening to Pastors Chuck Smith and Jon Courson! Thank you, Bridge FM, for this. I learn so much from listening to these pastors. May God grant all of them long lives to reach out to so many lost sheep like me. Great is their reward in Heaven. God bless you all for using technology to reach the hearts of true Christians all over. If only the radio waves were stronger in northern NJ, it would be great!

During one "Devotions from Proverbs", Brian Rechten shared how his wife's car break down was an opportunity for her to share about Jesus with the men who stopped to help. Recently while returning a purchase, I chatted with the clerk of the importance of a good Bible teaching church, and also wrote down a few suggestions on a tract. This was a divine appointment and, praise God, I had just heard what a great opportunity to share the love of Christ when we obey the Spirit. Thank you to the Bridge!
